Doomsday Myths

Everyone is freakin’ out about these theoretical Doomsday scenarios. Here’s something from Stephen Hawking:

Stephen, it ain’t gonna happen. I know 100% certain how the Doomsday is gonna happen. Doomsday will happen when Christ returns to judge the earth and He separates the sheep from the goats. Earth is guaranteed safety. Earth has been promised to God’s chosen. One day Christ will return and established His throne on earth and earth will be made perfect. I can give you another guarantee, this earth will never be destroyed by a flood again, that was promised by God who doesn’t go back on his Word. If anyone remembers what the rainbow truly represents (which isn’t gay pride), that was a promise made between God and man that the earth will never be destroyed by a flood again. I couldn’t even get into the movie 2012 because I was all like, ain’t gonna happen! We won’t need to build an ark again. Something I learned from one of my Old Testament profs is that the significance of the rainbow is that it is a bow pointing upwards away from earth representing that God’s wrath isn’t directed towards earth anymore. The next time God comes to clean house it will be for once and final. Earth is safe, it’s the unredeemed that are doomed.
